2013 Spring Gaming Hoopla

256 attendees descended on Janesville, WI for the 2013 Spring Gaming Hoopla.  A great time was had by all, and Wishing Tree Games was happy to be a sponsor of the Hoopla and also had a vendor booth.  We met a lot of great people, and checked out some nice prototypes.  Congratulations to the Hoopla for smashing their record attendance, and for raising around $8,500 for the American Cancer Society!  See you in the fall!  Check out www.gaminghoopla.com for more Hoopla information.

Update on upcoming games

We are hard at work on our new games!  You can check out more information, and get rules downloads, on each game's page (just hover on "Our Games" in the bar above).

Smile & Like It is in the final stages of artwork, and the kickstarter page is just about ready, with finalizing pledge levels and adding a video the only tasks left.  It should be launching in mid-late May.

Christmas Chaos is moving along, with artwork underway and the kickstarter page developing nicely.  We are in the process of setting up pledge levels, but the main portion is almost complete, sans artwork and a video.  We are hoping to have it ready for an late July launch.

Island Trader is the most finished game of our recent acquisitions.  We are setting up for some revisions to artwork, and the kickstarter page is almost ready.  Look for that in mid-June.

We have a couple other prototypes that we will be checking out between now and April, and we are planning on expanding our line of games even further, with the goal of 6 published games by year's end!

Wishing Tree Games acquires "Island Trader"!

We are excited to announce that we have signed a contract with designer Gilad Yarnitzky to publish his fantastic game Island Trader!  Island Trader is a 2-player game in which players play cards from a set deck (each player has the same 32 cards).  Starting with a hand of 10 cards, players must move to the islands and supply them with the goods they need.  If they do so, they are rewarded with victory points and by being able to draw more cards.  Strategic thinking is needed though, because players need to score as many points as possible before running out of cards or ending up not being able to make a move!

We've decided that it is better for the gaming community to leave the print and play version that is on boardgamegeek.com available for users.  Look for our kickstarter campaign for Island Trader in the coming months!

Wishing Tree Games acquires "Smile & Like It" and "Christmas Chaos"

Wishing Tree Games is happy to announce that they have signed two contracts with designer Bill Corey II!  The first game is a fun-for-the-whole-family card game called "Smile & Like It!", which is actually 3 games in 1.  This light card game is great for kids and adults alike!  The second game is a euro-game with resource management, worker placement, and simultaneous turn resolution, called "Christmas Chaos".  In Christmas Chaos, players are attempting to score points by gathering letters that the kids have sent, building their toys, and even by tattling on the other elves to Santa!  The winner becomes Santa's new head elf!
Look for Smile & Like It! on kickstarter (www.kickstarter.com) in March, and Christmas Chaos on kickstarter in Late March/Early April!
